Glass & Brick
I believe that by examining the places we have inhabited, we gain profound insight into our souls and nature. Walls have become an undeniable element of our environment. As uncertainty about others grows and a sense of insecurity becomes widespread, the atmosphere of our spaces shifts. The walls rise higher, the windows shrink, and the curtains grow thicker. It matters little which side of the wall you find yourself on; both sides are confined by this limited horizon. Just as shields form a rigid barrier between individuals, walls serve as a protective garment over spaces.
What captivates me is the common vision that emerges in these phenomena, irrespective of their era, reflecting the beliefs and feelings of the people who apply them. The imagery of walls adorned with broken glass has become so ubiquitous in my city that it often goes unnoticed. This series of paintings will reflect this widespread scene.
